Illegal Pharmaceutical Sales
Environmental Health occasionally finds markets in Contra Costa County selling prescription medications without a pharmacy license or misbranded over-the-counter medications. This poses a health risk as patients may be exposed to unsafe medicines or serious side effects. Also, the medications may be counterfeit, expired, or not appropriate for the patient’s medical condition.
To protect the health of you and your family, obtain prescription medications from a licensed pharmacy under the care and direction of a health care provider.
Prescription medications can only be dispensed by a licensed pharmacy or healthcare provider.
