ccLink: Electronic Health Record

Frequently Asked Questions

Contra Costa Health Services' (CCHS) new electronic health records (EHR) computer system named ccLink, replaces a patient's traditional paper medical chart. ccLink offers integrated patient information from scheduling to clinician charting to billing for services received at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) & Health Centers.

CCHS is using an EHR technology created by Epic, a leading provider of health care information.

CCRMC & Health Centers patients and staff will see the advantages of managing health information in a more centralized, real-time computer system. Please see the FAQs below for more information about ccLink:

What is an EHR?
An Electronic Health Record (EHR) replaces your paper medical chart. All of your medical information from care received at CCRMC & Health Centers are in the EHR including your complete medical history (allergies, medications, lab and X-ray results).

With ccLink, you have one electronic health record that can be quickly accessed by any member of your CCRMC or Health Centers care team.
Why is CCHS implementing an EHR?
CCHS' mission is to provide you with the highest quality of care. Our services at CCRMC & Health Centers include using the latest technologies that help provide you with complete care. From your doctor to your pharmacy, your care team will have quick, timely access to your important health information.
When will ccLink be implemented?
Contra Costa Regional Medical Center & Health Centers will begin using ccLink on July 1, 2012.

How secure is ccLink?
As always, your privacy is a top priority. Contra Costa Health Services takes great care to ensure your health information is kept private and secure. Digital records are no less secure than paper records and are protected with strict privacy mechanisms to keep your medical information confidential. Only those authorized to view your personal medical information will be allowed to do so.
Will I be able to access my electronic health record?
